“Opening
a new can of paint is probably more exciting to me
than opening gifts on Christmas morning. The
anticipation of giving a room a whole new look and
feel– all from a shade of paint.”

"Paint color is a big deal. Most
people know what they are looking for, they just don’t
know how to get it. People
don’t want to waste time, money, and energy picking
out the wrong paint color."
After art classes in high school
and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Pam went on
to get a Fine Arts degree from the University of
Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
Pam’s business started in 1995 when a woman she
knew asked for help with paint colors for a newly built
home. She wanted some personality for her “boring
white walls and neutral carpeting.” With her
design background and eye for color, she pursued her
new passion and created Pam Sather Studio.
In 2003,
Pam and her family moved from Wisconsin to Florida.
Pam continued to take appointments in the Tampa Bay
area and decided to focus primarily on paint color.
She found her niche and started I Pick Paint
Colorsm.
Since then Pam has been featured in the St
Petersburg Times Homes section, Jacksonville
Magazine, Jacksonville
Home Magazine, Waters
Edge Magazine and First
Coast News. Pam's paint color ideas and expertise
has spread to highlights all over the country, including
her most recent project for Better Homes and
Garden’s
Remodel Magazine (Feb/Mar 2008).
Pam lives in Jacksonville
with her husband Greg, her four boys: Peter,
Andrew, Jack, and Tommy, and her two Rat
Terriers, Buddy and Otis.
